The Millenium Wood. This was at one time an open field until the Clerk to the Parish Council found that it was only held on trust and could revert to the owners if not used for recreation. He hit on the idea of creating a woodland area. Planted by lads and lasses doing probation work and later it became known as the Millenium Wood but most of it was planted 20 years earlier.

The Old Goods Shed was one a vital part of the Goods Yard at Farnsfield Railway Station. It was destined to become a Youth Club but again locals objected and eventually it burnt down. This new house retains some of the features.

This was build as the Farnsfield Telephone Exchange and then bought by the Parish Council it became Dr Roffe's Surgery. He was a very popular Doctor and children would always get a smile and a welcome from Mrs Roffe. Now it is the local Pharmacy.

The Tennis Courts. Once there were only two and there was great opposition to "the third court". Chris Wilkinson arranged a meeting with the contractors and re-allignment with minimal risk to the Children's Corner the 3rd court was approved.

Sadly there are poor that need feeding. At one time there was a luncheon club in the Village Centre with Meals on Wheels. In 1974 the County Council took over and the daily lunch club stopped. Miss Nairn was a leading character in the Club.
